80 cents

There are three places to eat at for lunch that are within walking distance from work. Del Taco, Sizzler and a little place called Mel's Diner. Del Taco takes ATM/Debit cards, Mel's only takes cash, so the sign in the window says, and Sizzler, I know, takes cards also. Being sick of Del Taco and not having any cash on me, I decided to go to Sizzler for lunch yesterday. So I get in there - sit down - and realize, oh crap, I still have to tip the "waitress", (if thats what you call the person who only brings you plates).

She asked if I wanted cheese toast, I told her, "no thank you" as I wanted her to do as little as possible since I couldn't tip her. I didn't tell her I didn't have cash, of course.

At the end of the meal, I scrambled around in my purse looking for a dollar that maybe got "lost" or even some quarters. Nothing. All I found was 80 cents all in nickels and two dimes.

Lol, I left her 80 cents and tried to book it out of there before she came back to the table and realized what kind of a cheap bastard I was. Needless to say - currently there are only two places to eat at within walking distance now.

I wrote the above entry on paper at work and just typed it up. But I wrote it before lunch today. So, UPDATE: Mels Diner is, excuse my foulness, fucking disgusting. Sorry, it was that horrible. Talk about greasy spoons. Something about a woman from the trailer park on the other side of the tracks serving me lumpy gravy that's called "Chicken Noodle Soup" just isn't appetizing, is it. So, back to Del Taco it is.
