Homework

Everynight this week, I've taken work home with me. I'm in the hole around 18 hours with my vacation time. We automatically get two weeks up front every year of paid vacation time. Assuming we will be working there all year. Well, I used 18 more than I accrued this time of year. So, rather than have my last paycheck minus that many hours, they graciously agreed to "let" me make it up. Thanks. So, that's why I've been taking work home with me. I just finished doing the New Business Meeting minutes. I will not miss those one bit.

I have to try and listen to what the "whisperers" say on a crappy little microcassette recorder. The only person I can ever hear on the tape is my boss. Thank god. She talks too fast for me to take handwritten notes, but I can't hear what the hell anyone else has to say. So most of the minutes are one sided. Lol. Pain in my ass.

The girl I've been replaced by, is pretty cool. I've been "training" her half of last week and all this week. A week and a half is a crap amount of time to learn this sh*t. I feel bad for her. Oh well, at least there's always someone breathing down your neck to make sure you arent screwing up. Pfft.

I'm finally going to get a pretty good workout with my next job. I'll be dropped off in the morning and will ride my/a bike back home in the evening. It's about a 10 minute drive from the new place to my house with stop lights. So it's not bad. I use to bike to work in Tahoe, if you know Tahoe at all, I lived at the base of Echo Summit (Meyers pretty much but was still considered South Lake Tahoe) and biked all the way to the Casinos (Stateline, NV) and back 5 days a week. It's been a while since I've done that and will take a bit to get back into shape, at least it's not nearly as far as I rode in Tahoe. Ok, this is long enough.
