5.8

The earthquake was centered in Chino Hills, and I guess was a 5.8 one. It started at 11:45 am.

It was pretty scary at work. I was shaking a bit afterwards for a good 5 minutes. That one actually scared me. One of my coworkers bolted out the front door, I swear he would have run me over if I was standing in the way. I knelt down beside the desk once it hit harder and seemed like it wasn't going to stop. Others around the office also crawled under their desks, which I believe is the WRONG thing to do. I heard it's best if you laid flat on the floor along a desk or table. It would create somewhat of a pocket. Hopefully.

It was the biggest one I believe that I've ever been in, but I don't even think there was very much damage to anything anywhere. It knocked over some awards on the table in the lobby at work. And insulation and whatnot sprinkled out of the ceiling. But other than that, it wasn't that bad. Just woke us all up and gave everyone something to talk about the rest of the day.
