So a few weeks ago I woke up one Monday morning at 2am with the unmistakable pain of a kidney stone. It kept me awake for roughly two hours, I took three extra strength Tylenol's and laid on the couch. I fell asleep after a big glass of water around 4:30. Time to get up at 6, went pee, and out comes the kidney stone. This one was a record. Fastest passed from first pain, to passing. But thank god.
This is kinda gross, but I saw the stone in the toilet and so, in order to show the doctor and have them figure out what I'm eating wrong, I had to scoop it out. It was a big mo-fo too. I put it in a baggy and took it to my doctor appointment two days later.
Last week I got the results, I am to stay away from spinach (hmm), rhubarb (never had rhubarb), any leafy vegetables (sorry salads), tomatoes (thank the lord), chocolate (for sure can live without) and coffee (UGH Nooooooooooo!). I do like spinach in stuff, not so much on it's own. Chocolate I've never liked, but coffee, what am I going to do?
